It’s the mission of Wreaths Across America. You can join us by sponsoring a wreath, volunteering or partnering with us on National Wreaths Across America Day and every day.

Write it down. We are having it and you know with family coming to visit, you want something fun to do. We are open to the public, so anyone is welcome to join us. We hope to see you here.

Craft Fair
​10/18/25 From 10 AM to 4 PM

The Craft Fair is open to anyone would like to come and display their crafts. 

Admission is free and all are welcome to come and see the displays.

To participate, please com to the Post and pick up the forms. 

Dart Tournament
​October 4, 2025
Oct 4 2025, Saturday, will be our First of the Month Dart Tournament starting the sign ups at 1pm and play will begin at 2 pm. We would love to have a potluck that day so if you can bring something that would be greatly appreciated. We hope to see you there.

10/3 - TONIGHT!! KARAOKE NIGHT WITH KOSMIC ENTERTAINMENT!

Tonight, Friday, starting at 900 pm, is a night of karaoke with Kosmic Entertainment in our front bar.

Kitchen will be open from 6pm-10pm with our short menu available.

​Vets4Vets Stand Down 9/20/25

Today is the second and last day of the Great Falls Stand Down.
Come and meet with VA personnel and get the assistance you deserve;
Meet with local all of the organizations that are here to support you;
All under one roof!
WE HOPE TO SEE YOU THERE!

Come help us prep the wreaths on 12/13, and
​emplace them on 12/14 @ 12 PM in Highland Cemetery

The Post will be placing 900 wreaths at Highland cemetery this weekend. We begin the weekend with a wreath prep on 13 Dec at 1300 in the back room of the Post. 

The wreath laying happens on Dec 14. We meet at the VFW at noon for a ceremony and then head over to cemetery for wreath laying. All volunteers are invited back to the VFW for a free lunch. 

This is an awesome event to honor veterans. A huge endeavor that requires a lot of hands. If you’re able to come out, please do.

Nov. 30, 2024 - Come Take Pictures with Santa

2024 Thanks-giving Dinner: Come join us!

Be advised that that week our kitchen will be closed.
We will be doing our Thanksgiving Dinner at our Post on 10th starting at 11:30 AM to 4 PM on Thursday, 28 Nov 2024. It is a free meal for anyone on this day in our Event Hall. So please come and enjoy this meal on us. We are open to the public so anyone is welcome.

Nov 23, 2024 - Brawl of the Wild: Griz v. Cats

Come see it at our Post on 10th!

We also have a few twists! Starting at 1200 PM, there will be a “Chili Cook-off” with a $5.00 entry. People wanting to enter may drop their chili off at 1030-1100. Tasting and judging will begin at 1130. Prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd Place.

Cornhole Tournament will also be happening with sign ups at 1200 PM and the bags start flying at 1 PM. Prizes will be for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place as well.

Please come to have some fun and enjoy the game. We are open to the public!

Vets4Vets Stand Down 9/13-14

Vets4Vets is a non-profit group of combat Veterans & Community Volunteers. Through our own experiences in battle, and in life, we have chosen to come together to ensure that our brothers & sisters in arms are honored and remembered by the nation they served. 

Dart Tournament

Our First of the Month Dart Tournament will be on Saturday, 7 September 2024. Sign ups will start at 1 PM and Play will begin at 2 PM.


The kitchen will be open from 11-4 PM and you can order off our regular menu.
We are open to the public.

Come on in and enjoy the game with us.

Congratulations to Mr. Colter Franklin

Congratulations to Colter Franklin. With his effort and creativity, he was able to place 1st Place at the VFW Post 1087. 

That qualified him to compete at the District level where he placed 1st. This propelled him to compete at the Montana State level where he placed 3rd!
JOB WELL DONE YOUNG MAN!

January 29th @ 12 PM - Come Volunteer and you are invited to a Pasta Feed!

You came and helped us to place the Wreaths, during our Wreaths Across America Day honoring our fallen veterans. Now it is time to recover them.

Come on January 29th to the Highland Cemetery at 12 PM and help us to recover the wreaths. 

Then after, we'll all go to the V (VFW Post 1087) for a round, or two, of spaghetti!

​Celebrate New Year's Eve!

Please come join us on New Year’s Eve for a very special night starting at 9pm with DJ Ray Bigcity Stax.

It’s for 18 and up, bring your ID or you won’t be allowed in. I hope to see many old and new faces attending this event at our Post.

Our ​guest speaker will be Colonel Green, 120 MSG Commander/C-130 pilot.

Support the memory of our fallen heroes. Helps us honor their memory lest we forget how precious and fragile our freedom is in this great Republic.

On August 18, Scott Kerns was recognized for his military service

On August 18, Scott Kerns was recognized for his military service by Governor Greg Gianforte at the VFW Post #1087. 

Governor Gianforte, after the ceremony, took some time to answer questions and concerns of our community.

Wreaths Across America
​Honoring the Vietnam Veterans

If you are a Vietnam veteran or know of a Vietnam Era Veteran (Served between 1965 and 1975), Wreaths Across America is honoring them with a presentation of a pin, certification, challenge coin and a cover. 

Contact Wreaths Across America and honor this excellent generation that answered the called. 
The moment when a Vietnam Vet is presented the certificate and he is about to be pinned. 

​Wreaths Across America Mobile Education Exhibit

​July 24th, 10 AM - 3 PM @ 2000 10th Ave S.
(Target's Parking lot)

The goal of the Wreaths Across America Mobile Education Exhibit is to bring local communities and our military together with education, stories and interactive connections.

The 48’ exhibit is equipped with a 24-person screening room that showcases the different aspects of the WAA mission through video. To the front of the exhibit there are three interactive computers to showcase locations, trucking supporters, and general wreath sponsorship questions. Also, in the front is an education wall of information on the different areas of WAA and where the mission will be going in years to come.

6th Annual V.F.W. Chili Cook Off!

Don’t forget it’s a chili cook off day here at the VFW POST 1087 on Sunday, Jan 30th. Please come in and enjoy a bowl. We got plenty of Chilis all ready to choose from. We even have the fixin’s to add to it, if you need something.
